Olympic bronze medallist Justin Gatlin upset six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt edging him by just o.01 sec in 9.94 in a very close 100m race in the magic Rome athletics night. Gatlin did not show any signs of fatigue after the cancellation of two flights following his Eugene win in a wind-assisted 9.88 last Saturday.

Bolt will start his Diamond League season in Rome where he won the last two editions in 2011 in 9.91 and in 2012 in the meeting record of 9.76.
