Golden Gala with all Olympic champions of throwing events
Big throwing events stars will be in the spotlight on 5th June in Rome. The Number All the Olympic champions of these disciplines Robert Harting (discus throw) and Valerie Adams (shot put) who are also the reigning World champions and Barbora Spotakova (javelin). They will square off against many other strong throwers ready to to pull off big throws on the green turf of the Olympic Stadium.

Golden Gala: Gatlin upset Bolt in a close race in Rome
Olympic bronze medallist Justin Gatlin upset six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt edging him by just o.01 sec in 9.94 in a very close 100m race in the magic Rome athletics night. Gatlin did not show any signs of fatigue after the cancellation of two flights following his Eugene win in a wind-assisted 9.88 last Saturday.

Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt talked in front of media representatives at the press-conference of the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea on 6th June at the famous Rome Olympic Stadium, the fifth leg of the IAAF Diamond League. Bolt will start his Diamond League season in Rome where he won the last two editions in 2011 in 9.91 and in 2012 in the meeting record of 9.76.
