Several of the more than 150 stars set to compete in the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea – Presented by IP – have already arrived in Rome, with more athletes due to land tomorrow morning ahead of what promises to be a magical evening of athletics at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday 6 June. Fourteen events are scheduled, featuring 11 Olympic champions and 62 medallists from the World Championships and Olympic Games.
A truly stellar line-up will be putting the finishing touches to their preparations on Wednesday 4 June and Thursday 5 June, training at the iconic Stadio dei Marmi – one of the most visually striking and historic sporting venues in the world, renowned for its remarkable marble statues.
These two training sessions, running from 4pm to 7pm, will be open to the public free of charge, offering a unique and immersive experience.
