Fourteen disciplines will award points to qualify for the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 4–5, along with one additional competition, completing the program. The official list of events has been announced for the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, the 46th edition of Italy’s main track and field meeting, scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico — the fifth leg of the Wanda Diamond League.
At the Golden Gala, men will compete in the 100m, 110m hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, and javelin throw; women will compete in the 200m, 400m, 1500m, 5000m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and pole vault. In all these Diamond League events, the world’s top stars will be able to earn points towards qualification for the final showdown in September, where the Diamond Trophy will be at stake — even more significant in a season without the Olympic Games or World Championships.
In addition, outside the official Diamond League program, a men’s 800m race will also take place at the Stadio Olimpico. With just over 200 days to go, the countdown has already begun on the way to an unmissable evening that will showcase many Italian talents alongside top international champions, promising a star-studded lineup once again.
