Bolt meets huge crowd in the heart of Rome

The clinic was a very successful event to promote the Compeed Golden Gala on Thursday 31st May. Thousands of people gathered in the famous street where a special athletics track was laid. Youth athletes from the athletics schools took part in a series of races took part in a series of sprint races on a special 30-metre track. Usain Bolt acted as starter and signed autographs  together with Fiona May, 1995 and 2001 World champion in the long jump and testimonial of the Compeed Golden Gala. Bolt entertained the crowd acting as a DJ, always one of his passions outside the athletics track.

US Danielle Carruthers, world silver medallist in the 100 metres hurdles, Christophe Lemaitre, triple European sprint champion in the 100, 200 metres and the 4×100 relay, Great Britain’s David Greene, World champion in the 400 metres hurdles and Roberto Donati, 4×100 European silver medallist,  met youth athletes from the athletics schools of the Regional Committee of the FIDAL on the track of the Kid’s Clinic at the historic Stadio dei Marmi. During this special clinic children could experience the thrill of of an athletics clinic with the stars of the Compeed Golden Gala.
