Golden Gala, Diamond Races 2014

The Diamond Race events of the 2014 Golden Gala "Pietro Mennea" are the following:

Men’s events: 200m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, High Jump, Triple Jump, Discus Throw,

Women’s events: 100m, 800m, 5000m, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, Pole Vault, Triple Jump, Shot put, Javelin Throw.

Each Diamond League meeting can add non-Diamond League events (in particular in the running event programme) and also the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea will feature some additional non DL-discplines. According to the results of the evaluation of the Diamond League meetings for the 2013 season announced some days ago in Monte-Carlo , the 2013 Golden Gala Pietro Mennea received very good marks in terms of technical organization, media service and television  production (the live television broadcast of the 2013 Golden Gala Pietro Mennea was one of the most watched in the world according to the data released by the IMG, the company which markets the TV rights of the IAAF Diamond League), television coverage and media exposure on the International press. This confirms the level reached by the meeting which was inaugurated in 1980, a few days after the Olympic Games in Moscow.
