A super women’s long jump competition is set to warm up the crowd at the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea in Rome, the fourth leg of the IAAF Diamond League on 6th June. US Brittney Reese, who won her fourth world outdoor title in London 2017 , the Olympic gold medal in London 2012 and set a PB of 7.31m, is the latest addition to the impressive women’s long jump line-up that has already announced by Meeting Director Luigi D’Onofrio. Reese increases the level of the long jump line-up of “flying women”, which features some of the best jumpers on the planet. All spectators, who want to see them land in the sandpit of the Olympic Stadium, have to do is to buy the ticket online or at the ticket office of the Rome Olympic Stadium. The other stand-out athlete is Colombia’s long and triple jumper Caterine Ibarguen, reigning olympic triple jump in Rio de Janeiro and Diamond League champion in both disciplines. The line-up of athletes signed up by Luigi D’Onofrio also features world seasonal leader Chantel Malone from the British Virgin Islands, who leads the world seasonal list with 6.90m, reigning world and European indoor champion Ivana Spanovic from Serbia, and the entire podium of the 2019 European Indoor Championships, including silver medallist Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova from Belarus, and bronze medallist Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk from the Ukraine, and German Malaika Mihambo, who won the European outdoor medal in Berlin last year.
