In the Men's triple jump, the Stadio Olimpico will light up the duel between two of the world's main jumpers: the double Diamond League champion (2022 and 2023) Andy Diaz meets the Budapest 2023 world champion and Glasgow indoor gold medallist Hugues Fabrice Zango (Burkina Faso), always on the podium in the last three editions of the World Athletics Championships. It is the challenge between two of the favourites for medals at the Paris Olympics: Diaz will be able to wear the shirt of the Italian national team for the first time on the occasion of the Games in France, while Zango already had a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics on his CV and wants at least to repeat his performance. Diaz stood out in Florence in 2023 with the Italian record of 17,75, which he also came close to this season with 17,61 indoors. Zango boasts a personal best of over eighteen meters, 18,07 in Aubière in 2021.
