The IAAF Diamond League has announced the programme of the 2015 Diamond Races. In each of the 32 event disciplines there is a Diamond Race where points are available throughout the 14-meeting season. The Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, the fourth leg of the 2015 IAAF Diamond League scheduled on 4th June, will host the following Diamond League events: Men’s disciplines: 100m, 800m, 5000m, 400m hurdles, pole vault, triple jump, Javelin throw; Women’s disciplines: 200m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, 100m hurdles, long jump, discus throw. Each meeting will have the chance to add further non-Diamond League events to the schedule, This will likely to happen in the next weeks for the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea.
The sixth edition of the major International circuit will start on 15th May 2015 in Doha (Qatar) and will end with the two finals in Zurich on 3rd September 2015 and in Brussels on 11th September 2015. The winners of each Diamond Race will receive a USD 40000 cash prize and a spectacular Diamond Trophy Prize but more importantly they will have shown season-long consistency to earn the unchallenged honour of being the World Number 1.
