Nadia Battocletti <\/strong>will shine at the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea 2026<\/strong>. It is the first major announcement for the upcoming edition of Italy\u2019s main athletics meeting, scheduled for Thursday, June 4, at Rome\u2019s Stadio Olimpico. The presence of the Italian champion will illuminate the 5000m, silver medallist at the Paris Olympics and Tokyo World Championships in the 10,000m, and world bronze medallist in the 5000m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 25-year-old from Trentino has just triumphed at the European Cross Country Championships in Lagoa, claiming her second consecutive gold medal in the event. She will return to the Golden Gala twelve months after her sensational race in 2025, when she set the Italian record of 14:23.15 (second-fastest European of all time), finishing behind Olympic champion Beatrice Chebet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battocletti shares a special relationship with the Stadio Olimpico. At the \u201chome\u201d of the Golden Gala, she won two gold medals at the 2024 European Championships in Rome, in the 5000m and 10,000m, greeted by the roar of the crowd and receiving congratulations from President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, a special ‘supporter’ in the vip tribune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
