Thursday, June 4, Rome\u2019s Stadio Olimpico: the official date for the 2026 Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, the fifth leg of the Wanda Diamond League, has been announced. The top-tier one-day event circuit has unveiled its calendar for the upcoming year, featuring fourteen stages where athletes will compete for points to qualify for the Wanda Diamond League Final, set for September 4\u20135 in Brussels, where the ‘Diamond Thophies’ will be awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The season will kick off on May 8 in Doha, Qatar, before moving on to China for the double-header in Shanghai and Xiamen, and then continuing to Africa with a stop in Rabat, Morocco. Rome will be the first European leg, kicking off a June schedule that also includes Stockholm, Oslo, and Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tour will then cross the Atlantic to Eugene on July 4, before returning to Europe for events in Monaco and London. After that, the circuit will pause for the summer\u2019s major continental event: the European Championships in Birmingham, from August 10 to 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The final stretch includes stops in Lausanne, Silesia, and Zurich, offering athletes a last chance to collect points ahead of the Brussels final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
