Chebet was followed by Ethiopia\u2019s Freweyni Hailu (14:19.33) and Italy\u2019s local heroes Nadia Battocletti, who smashed her national record by over eight seconds with a time of 14:23.15 \u2013 the second-fastest time ever by a European. The men\u2019s 100 meters was also of the highest level: no one had run faster this year than American Trayvon Bromell, who clocked a remarkable 9.84 (+1.1 m\/s). Also finishing under ten seconds was Cameroon\u2019s Emmanuel Eseme (9.99), while Kenya\u2019s Ferdinand Omanyala was third in 10.01, followed by Americans Brandon Hicklin (10.04) and Fred Kerley (10.06).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the men\u2019s 1500 meters, France\u2019s Azeddine <strong>Habz<\/strong> set the outdoor world-leading time for the year with 3:29.72. In the women\u2019s discus, American Valarie <strong>Allman<\/strong> set a meeting record with a throw of 69.21 meters. In the shot put, New Zealander Tom <strong>Walsh<\/strong> takes the win with 21.89 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were thrills in the jumping events as well. The long jump was decided in the Final 3: Italy\u2019s Mattia Furlani took the lead with 8.13 (-0.5 m\/s), but Australia\u2019s Liam <strong>Adcock<\/strong> responded with 8.34 (-0.2) to claim the win. The men\u2019s high jump was won by South Korea\u2019s <strong>Woo<\/strong> Sang-hyeok with 2.32 meters. In the women\u2019s pole vault, victory went to American Sandi <strong>Morris<\/strong> with 4.80 meters, while Jamaica\u2019s Shanieka <strong>Ricketts<\/strong> took the win in the women\u2019s triple jump with 14.64 (-0.7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the track, there were victories for Americans Quincy <strong>Hall<\/strong> in the 400 meters (44.22) and Anavia <strong>Battle<\/strong> in the 200 meters (22.53\/0.8), Ireland\u2019s Sarah <strong>Healy<\/strong> in the 1500 meters (3:59.17), Switzerland\u2019s Jason <strong>Joseph<\/strong> in the 110-meter hurdles (13.14\/0.9), and Jamaica\u2019s Andrenette <strong>Knight<\/strong> in the 400-meter hurdles (53.67).<br><br><strong>About the Wanda Diamond League<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics.
