The initiative supports the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where more than 24 million people are facing hunger and famine has been declared in ten regions of the country. The WFP is striving to reach up to 7 million people each month, but it needs everyone\u2019s support to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the backing of the Golden Gala \u2013 organised by FIDAL and Sport e Salute \u2013 and the global athletics community, a special challenge has been launched on the ShareTheMeal app to involve the public and raise vital funds for the emergency response in Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click here to donate:&nbsp;<a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/Fidal_ShareTheMeal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/Fidal_ShareTheMeal<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative forms part of the Golden Gala\u2019s sustainability programme and embodies the spirit of the &#8220;Athletics for a Better World&#8221; campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Headquartered in Rome, the WFP is the world\u2019s largest humanitarian organisation, committed to saving lives in emergencies and fostering peace, stability, and prosperity. In 2023 alone, it reached over 150 million people across 123 countries and territories.
